Disgraceful BFC, behind the times as usual.. Sorry, just thought I would save nudger a post...lol.. On a serious note, hoping we can bring in 3 players.. Striker, Winger, full back cover.. Possibly 1 more keeper to provide more competition..
Difficult market, especially when we’re playing well. I think we should be looking at a winger and full back. I reckon we’re a better team with one up top so if one of the strikers got injured were still alright. We Should be looking at experienced championship players who might not be getting the minutes they want at there current club. We’re an attractive propersition for players like that who can come for 6 months push us on and put themselves in the shop window. A young well thought of premiership winger with lightning pace might not be a bad shout but I feel experience is key at this minute and someone arriving with an actual name and not a young lad might just give the lads a kick up the arse to improve too. I’m still very confident in achieving automatic promotion. COYR!
Is this even a serious suggestion? This isn’t how the club operates - the new owners made it very clear that they were not going to completely overhaul the methods used, in fact they chose this club in the first place due to us doing what is well known we do. We went down the road of ‘experience’ (often overpaid hangers on) in the past. Didn’t always work out well. In fact rarely did. Yes we could do with some experience - but as much as we would benefit from an old head with game management tricks, any ‘experienced’ signing is more likely to be a lot of appearances at this level or lower and from a pool of players aged 25 or under.
There could be 20 threads on here mate about any one thing and Nudge will start his own. He is very quite at present don't mention his name or he will appear. TIME FOR GG TO PUT ON HIS HARD HAT!
Speaking of experienced Championship players, what's happened to Jacob Butterfield? He appears to be in Derby's reserves and out of contract in June- 28 years old and probably in a position where we have too many squad players occupying at the moment. He would be a quality loan addition if we got rid of a few centre mids such as Moncur. I reckon he'd bang a few in at this level. Has he fallen out with the management there or is he just not rated by them??
If we need anyone, it's cover for Dougall. We're playing really well now he's back, but we really missed him when injured and it took McGeehan a long time to get up to speed standing in. This would be my number one priority, especially if Moncur is leaving. We don't need a megastar, just someone who could perform a backup role, preferably someone young and ready to learn. Then similar at fullback, out wide (preferably left), and maybe a third striker. If we get the first three, I would be surprised if we don't go up.
How can it not be a serious suggestion. It’s my opinion. Yes it’s a serious suggestion and my opinion. I don’t think we’ll bring anyone in and but as I said before this is just my opinion on what I think we should do. It’s too difficult of a market to work in. Stick with 451 Woodrow up top then we’ll go up.
