    He must have sent his scouts to Southend & Shrewsbury by mistake! We have started to compete more against “industrial “ teams but to say we are physical shows either
    - that he’s gormless
    - he’s preparing the groundwork for kicking the hell out of us (like he used to play - a nutter)

    It was pleasing to see we've added a bit of steel to our play today, didn't let Charlton bully us - clearly part of Bowyers master plan.

    They put loads into the game and fair play to their attitude, especially the back 4 diving and their number 7 embarrassing himself with it. I can’t dislike them though because they are a dangerous team who thoroughly deserved to beat Sunderland on the first day of the season. Easy to see how they are up there

    They also hoodwinked Pompy. If the ref hadn't GIVEN them a free kick that never was....they would have not scored at all today....oh and you do not gets points for sheer effort....thank goodness we hit two screamers and footballed them to death for the best part of 60 mins....Their "dark arts" attitude has no place in football....but well done to the boys for keeping our cool......we are far too honest.

    I didn't think they deserved anything yes we scored 2 great strikes but Charlton rarely troubled us. We played some great stuff today bahre had a really good game but he should have made it 3 nil before he got injured and then Potts should also have. They got back into it via a debatable free kick and the ref did all he could for them to equalise. We deserve that win played some really good stuff at times.

    I don't think they deserve anything but a defeat, but after our quick start their was little between the sides.
