itv meridian has just described the Bournemouth v Brighton match as “the beach resort” derby.

I’ve just launched my telly into the garden. Set of cnuts.

 

why?

 

They describe Plymouth v Portsmouth as the Dockyards derby, can't see your problem myself.

 

Only 97.7 miles apart.

 

but they also use the saying "South coast Derby's" and include all of them from Brighton to Plymouth.

 

Sheffield and Middlesborough are 98.4 miles apart, but its often billed as a Yorkshire derby

I'd've thought that was Southampton and Portsmouth

 

No, they are referring to Royal Naval dockyards, as found in Plymouth and Pompey
