Wonderfully put but I worry about the logistics of Fury fighting on a matchroom card. Of course it can happen if everyone is grown up about it.

Morning after press conference by Tyson on youtube worth a watch he's his usually self.

he says if he had danced around the ring for the last round he still would only have got a draw.
also pointed out that that one judge 115-111, if he hadnt been knocked down twice ,he still gave the match to wilder

I'm no boxing expert but surely the solution here is to change the scoring system which isn't imo set up to determine the winner but to create a false sense of suspense.

It's daft that you can be absolutely battered for the entire round, get knocked down and still pick up 8 points.

Or you could smash someone around for the whole round one little punch knocks you off balance and you touch the floor with a glove and you lose effectively 2 rounds. It's a crazy system no doubt.

    That’s not correct
Boxing has a ten points system
Unfortunately the judges never use (probably under guidance)
All the time rounds end up 10-9 or 10-8
When rounds can go 10-10 or anything in between
A boxer can get any points from 0-10 for any round in theory
A boxer doesn’t have to get knocked down for a 10-8 round
I think maybe it happened in one of wilders earlier fights 10-8 with no knockdown
Aggression, ring dominance , landed punches, defensive skills and a host of other things should lead to points total.
Maybe the answer is to have more judges
5 so it could cancel out rogue scorecards.

The winner of the round has to receive 10. I know they can go 10 8 without a knockdown. Lowest I have ever seen is 10 6.
