    28 when we signed him.
Think of the memories we would have missed if we had the same policies then as now.
I really hope the board flex on their approach.

Equally, no Hendrie or wilkinson in this model whose goals along with readers got us into the PL.

Conversely, the 2006 (exc. Colgan) and 2016 (Hammill) promotion squads were only nippers. Experience is vital in the Championship though. Getting bullied by older pros is as bad as being outplayed.

I don’t think the policy is not to sign these players RR but not to pay the inflated prices that the majority of good players that age .
Definitely out is the last paydays of the Litas and Treacy’s but in that we miss out on the Harewoods and Scotland’s .
It’s a system that can and will be tweaked imo

    Hope you are correct Marlon.
I wouldn't want to miss a possible key signing because of age.
Equally, they must be hungry & not journeymen.
I think DS should be listened to if he has targets in mind from the mainland.
Also agree about the bullying AR.

Ronnie was God to me & still is , but you cannot cherry pick individuals to make your point because for every Glavin , Hendrie , Futchur etc there are countless failures , basically you need a bit of luck when making signings , you hope they turn out to be as good as you thought they would when you sign them . I said in an earlier thread that experienced players can still be signed to fit in with our current policy , Mowatt being a fine example but if we need experienced players to help us with the push for promotion then I think the club should alter their policy & use the loan market to get such players ,as we are only binded by short term deals which does not effect our long term policy , it would give us what we want without the commitment .
