I have described our position at Barnsley like this. For about 12 years we were sat in a car that had stalled. We have now taken the handbrake off and are just starting to roll forward - but we have yet to put the car into 1st gear. Would that be a fair assessment???
Well if that’s how you’ve read it then you’ve misunderstood what I’m saying. Basically - our fans are rightly getting excited about what’s happening. IMO - it’s been a different start, a great start, but we haven’t really got going yet.
I'm not sure I have misread it.... You put posts on regularly knocking the Cryne ownership. To say we stalled for 12 years we didn't do bad 2 promotions 3 trips to Wembley and a day out in Cardiff....
He's asked this question before several times mate, and on those occasions lots of people have offered the reply you've just given. He'll go quiet for a bit and then drag it up again at a later date. Next time he'll shake it up a bit by calling it stagnation. His idea of enjoyment by means of fishing is utter tedium, because he doesn't allow enough time in between repeating himself for us to have forgotten his previous attempt.
Well two seasons ago we were rock bottom and in your fathoming conked out but look what happened we got a jump start and the rest is history, far too early to predict where we'll finish.
We are now driving around in a merc instead of a fiat, But the owner of the fiat gave it a regular service the owners of the merc have put a 40 mph regulater on it
That's it. We are worse off now than when the new owners took over, as we got relegated. Nothing on the playing side has really been spent under them yet. No major new contracts have happened under them yet. They failed in their first head coach appointment which cost the club millions of pounds in lost revenue. Matchday entertainment that was mentioned hasn't materialised. Old problems still happening with a concourse TV off again yesterday and another showing our east stand with blue seats. Still plenty to improve on so far but when the team are challenging for promotion it's easier to just be grateful things on the pitch are going well.
Step by step. Look whats happening at bottle job moneybags Wednesday. We could overtake them next May.
FFS Nudge, stop trying to start a discussion on here. You know it's frowned up. The boring lovely people have taken over the asylum.
Probably not but who cares. I'm on the verge of jacking it in on here. It's an absolute waste of time.
There's no need to jack it in. I wish you could enjoy one of our good performances from time to time, but instead you appear to ignore them and rack your brains for something negative to post about. Lloyd Isgrove for example. You're obviously a clever bloke, and you make some interesting and thought provoking posts, but then you repeat them over and over again. In the end people don't engage, because they've heard it all before. I don't want to take you on, because you'll probably win, but there's no need to leave. Just enjoy the odd win, some good attacking football, and lots of goals.
No mate, what's boring is the content, which just keep getting repeated. If it's not "the jury's out on Ganaye ", then it's "we have been in stagnation for umpteen years" or "I know some fooooookin leeds fans who think this about us. . . ."
