I think he showed his level of ability against Luton when he was MOM , superbly set up Potts for a great goal & had the TV commentators purring but he is frustrating as he tends to drift in & out of games , however , since Hammil moved on , he is the only player who takes on defenders with any regularity & has the ability to deliver. I also think he is still relatively young & has time on side to improve & I repeat that I think there are a lot of managers in the third division who would love to have him in their squad .
Yet he still can’t commend a regular first team start. They might for the one game in 5 that he does something.
Yep. I’ve same opinion about Moncur. Jury still out. If he has that skill - he needs to start stamping his authority on games. I prefer Hedges. Yer know that Hedges has an ability to hit the target.
Going to be interesting to see what the club do here. Hedges, Moncur, Davies, Jackson, Mowatt and Cavare (though we have an option on him) are all out of contract in the summer. Apart from Cavare, they've all been with us a decent while, but haven't notched up that many appearances and a couple have been loaned out, a couple have had quite a few injuries, and inbetween, few apart from Davies haven't been first choice. The only one of that 6 i'd expect to definitely be offered terms is Mowatt. I'd suspect it's highly likely Davies would be offered too. Aside from that, signing them on new terms would be a bit of a punt. Hoping they can unlock their talent to springboard us and/or provide possible revenue gain in the future.
I think Hedges has got bags of potential, there’s a player in him but he needs a run of games like Thiam has had & he needs his body to not let him down like it has for the past 15 months or so
Was Mark Robinson better as a winger where he was first played, or as a fullback, which earned him a move to Newcastle?
