Not sure if already posted but the West stand is closed on Saturday for the FA cup game. Called in today to try get our usual seats and was to pick between the Pontefract Rd end or the East Stand.

Perfectly fair decision imo, they don’t need it to cover those who will attend so it will save on staffing, stewarding and so on. I know it isn’t likely to be popular with some of the west stand regulars but still, I can’t blame them.

I couldn’t get our usual seats for the game as they weren’t reserved for us, guessing they’ve had to do it that way due to the west stand st holders not having the same privilege.

At a push we could probably close it for league games from a numbers point of view.

Leave the west stand alone please , we sit there & love it & should the good times return, then it will be needed .

I've sat/stood in the west stand for nearly 40 years . I'll give this one a miss I think .

Closing it for the Notts County game is fair enough, but not for the league games. I'm not a fan of max-ing out stands unnecessarily. It makes use of the facilities uncomfortable i.e. toilets, snack bars etc.

Weren't there more cup games the last few years with only East or East & South open to the public? Surely this isn't the first time you've had to make this choice.

I think maybe for League cup matches but not for the FA cup . I can understand why they are doing it which is fair enough, but I like where I sit , also I think we all get accustomed to our 'own' seat and surroundings .

Ah yes, probably other cup then I was thinking about. And yes, people are creatures of habit. "My" stand (East) is open, so we would've been able to try and pick (near) our own seats, but unfortunately we're out of town.
