...how quickly their goalkeeper moved once they went a goal down? On one occasion in the first half it took him nearly 90 seconds to take a goal kick. Perhaps we didn't deserve really the win but it's nice to see such blatant spoiling tactics fail. Ref warned him in the first half then just allowed him to continue doing it.
One ball should be enough. Bet people have scored a hat trick and taken home a match ball they didn't score with because of the stupid multi ball system we used to see. Their keeper did time waste a lot. It should be a rule that a goal kick should be taken at the side the ball goes out at. That would cut down on time wasting.
Had to laugh at the difference between their first two substitutions - subbed player located on far side of pitch even though having not played on that side, ignores number going up even though clearly visible and seen, waits for ref to waddle over, looks at floor, undoes tie-ups, ambles a few yards, shakes refs hand, trudges a few more yards, shakes mate's hand, shuffles a bit further off, claps fans, walks a bit, realises ref is too unfit to come after him, slows down, eventually gets to touchline, long embrace with player coming on, all told each took a minute plus - and the third, like **** off a stick, full substitution done in four seconds and before Porky Pig with the whistle could even blow it to signal the sub to be made.
How is a multiball system stupid? What if someone hoofs the one ball over the west stand? The hat trick thing is such a minor issue, the players genuinely won't care
I noticed their players "old manning" the ref too. Its becoming tiresome...especially at the death where cavre ran into their sub...who went down like a bus had hit him...then 3 southend players surrounded the ref trying to get something!
