Is there a spot of club censorship going on here?

I spotted that, it’s ruined my weekend...I’ll be honest I’m not sure if I’ll recover from it.

I find this post quite telling and slightly worrying. It certainly explains a lot. Whilst I do agree that you put out a lot of fantastic video content that I am extremely grateful for, a lax attitude to mistakes on the website of a company as big as BFC is unusual. You seem to think that as you've undoubtedly improved the content in some regards, that works as an excuse to not worry if other work is below par and an embarrassment to the company. In regards to mere humans making mistakes, I would agree with that as a valid excuse if the mistakes were rare. Of course an odd error may slip through, maybe a couple of times a year, but it can often be 2 or 3 mistakes per article. To me, the fact that a club employee openly posts that they don't really worry if they make a mistake on a published article and it's not a big deal goes a long way to explain why it keeps happening at the frequency it does. I would expect the team to see the mistakes and think 'we really need to get better at checking content' not 'oh well, I created a cracking video last night so never mind if this doesn't make sense'.

And you would be entitled to that opinion. Absolutely fair play to you. Enjoy your evening.

    As big as BFC.

    Tiny in business terms.

    You too.

Any chance of changing this at some point when you're back at work? From the same article:

'Now in his first full season in charge of the popular coach will be hoping he can push his side up the table and challenge for promotion.'

A capital H in Roots Hall wouldn't go amiss either.

True but that's not really the point. A fair few tens of thousands of people will be reading each article but even if it were only a few hundred I'd have hoped more care would be taken.

Well said Zoe. We’d better drop this now though. We’re all prone to typing errors, especially when something is done quickly. I make plenty when posting on here from my phone because I’m using one finger tip to navigate a small virtual keyboard. Using a full-sized keyboard is different though because I can use all of my fingers there. I usually correct any errors straight away, hopefully before anyone has read it.
