The lad has done well this season. I think he'll get better & better under Stendel. Not sure what position he'll end up playing.

His touch and finish against Peterborough was absolutely top drawer. For a young lad with so few first team games he’s doing really well.

Hopefully Woodrow coming back can take the pressure off him a bit and this season he can build on a good start and keep improving. Not easy for him when he’s been asked to play up front on his own.

First class goal that. Wouldn't have looked out of place on any stage.

Didn’t really think it was that good at the time. Until I saw it back. Remember seeing Jacob in the U23s a few times a couple of years ago when I had the time on Fridays. He had it all at that level, and I really hoped he would be the first striker through the academy to “make it” big since...... I’m not sure really. Who was the last? David Hirst, Andy Liddell. Sure there’s probably been others. Pleased he’s got a chance, but sounds like Stendel sees him playing somewhere else - winger perhaps. But look forward to seeing how he does.

Seen a few cameos from him when he's shown real quality. He's not managed to put it all together for 90 minutes yet, but if can we could have an excellent player. Here's hoping.

I remember a preseason game last year. He looked a season pro. Held the ball and his control was excellent. I was surprised he wasn't involved during the season.

The goal at Peterborough was class.

This is the type of player we should blood more.

Unless something in training shows he's not quite ready then fair do. But what I've seen he should easily make the step up.

But I'm no manager or scout. I can only say what I've seen. But he deserves a good run (But who do you drop)

Injuries / suspensions & cup games & time off the bench should give him enough game time. We are hardly blessed with loads of experienced strikers or wide players, especially ones that can stay fit for more than 3 games in a row.

One of the many midfielders for me. Or even two of them. I'd like to see us go back to how we played at the beginning of the season, with Brown in Bradshaw's role. Thiam on the left, Potts on the right, but tucked inside a bit, Mowatt and McGeehan in the middle.

One thing we can say is we have plenty of options.

What does concern me though is that we have loads of options and formations available. We could be in a position where we tinker and not settle.

I'm not a fan of 1 up top. Never have been. 2 up top and whatever behind it I'm completely ok with BTW

Quality interview for a young lad, think he'll have a decent career with a bit of luck and barring injuries. Very impressive character

Agreed, I'm hoping the same about Jacob. For all the top defensive players we've produced, there haven't been many forwards. Jon Parkin, Rory Fallon and Danny Rose have all carved good careers for themselves and arguably we should have have kept at least two of them at the club. But you're right, Hirst has been the last one really to make an impact at a good level.

Saying that, no need to put too much pressure on Brown. If he can come through and be a good first team player for us, that'll do for me.

This is a season for Brown to get 20 odd appearances as sub and occasionally starter and have the time to settle in without overdue pressure. He's not good enough or experienced enough yet to be at the forefront but, given time, hopefully he will be.

Agreed. Made the defender look like it was me playing
