How long did their player lay down holding the ball in the net? That just summed up how pathetic Shrewsbury as a team were last night. The ref did jack sh*t about that and the tackle on Dougall, yet later on our manager gets sent off for getting punched in the face. You'd have thought we were playing Sheffield Utd. Man up Barnsley. We need to start cheating.
yes McGeehan foul stopped us keeping momentum up, they made a right meal of that,i watched clock took nearly 4 minutes before free kick was taken
Yep their player should have got booked for that too. Didn’t realise it turns into a rugby scrum once the ball goes over the line. Again ref totally lost the plot with that game last night.
I feel sorry for their fans if thats what it takes for them to scrounge any points this season. Total snorefest. Prematch teamtalk: get a poxy goal as early as possible lads! Then waste as much time as possible. Try to narrow it down to 20 minutes of actual football, and if you lose the ball, kick the **** out of them! COME ORRRN!
Shouldn't matter if it's 4 minutes or 40. Should have kept our focus. Shrewsbury obviously did. It's literally any excuse.
It's not like Anthony Grant had to keep hold of the ball anyway as us rushing the ball back to the centre wouldn't have made them rush to kick off sooner anyway.
I read on one of the opposing forums (maybe Luton), that we do it really well. Easy to do when you're winning.
