How often does Cavare take the ball down the wing though? Very rarely. He just cuts diagonally across the pitch & loses it & then is out of position. He’s not all he’s cracked up to be
You mean like when he cut diagonally across the pitch and smashed it in the top corner at Scunthorpe?
It was a tremendous hit, and clever tactics from Stendel to specifically ask him to do that. Sadly that's the only time I recall him hitting the target this season and he's spooned several easy chances over the bar or wide, plus cost us several penalties. He could be a decent player if he could improve his discipline and composure. Hopefully a full season as first choice may help him do that.
His position is a right back, at that point in time he was up at the left side of their box. I’m on about actually running up his own line & taking a man on. Never does it. It was a beauty strike tho
He does do it darn the flanks, one game he beat his man many a time and then fecked every attempted cross.
I like Cavare and think he can be a real asset to us. His crossing needs a bit of work and he occasionally switches off but I don’t think we’ll see many wingers get the better of him this season. Particularly shoulder to shoulder, I can’t think of many who would out strength him.
Possibly. Thinking about it my theory doesn’t work anyway as the club get the choice to cancel if three first team members are on international duty rather than it been forced on us
I'm surprised that Guadeloupe has a football team at all. Isn't it a département of France ? Edit: for anybody else who's confused, it is France. They play in regional tournaments but are not eligible to join FIFA. Interesting. I wonder if you could play for Guadeloupe and then switch to France later on.
I love him as a player, he’s unpredictable and bonkers and I find that entertaining. The fact that he’s also a good aggressive footballer is the icing on the cake.
Ah.... I get it... you're saying that excessive amounts of alcohol should be quaffed to better see his qualities? Seriously though, he's very very raw and if he's going to carve out (see what I did there?!?!?) a career above league 1, he's got a steep learning curve. he's only played 20ish games in a season and a quarter, so he's plenty of time ahead. I wonder how much he'd be tolerated if we were drawing and losing more? If penalties were costing us matches. If gilt edged chances did likewise. if his failure to track back often led to conceding goals instead of people successfully covering for him. Fingers crossed he develops. I'm not saying he's a terrible player. he has some good raw attributes, but he also has plenty of bad ones too.
England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland get to have their own teams, despite the UK being the actual country. But I suppose that's different?
All opinions I suppose I think he is one of the best full backs in the league he is miles ahead of McCarthy that's why the coaching staff let him go to Wycombe. Yeah he is a bit raw and switches off at times but he is young and with coaching that can be worked on his 5 assists from full back have also been a big help this season. The pen v scunny but the one v posh was soft and look more of a pen for Davies tackle seconds earlier.
Absolute powerhouse. The opposition are **** scared of his speed and power. I wouldn't swap him for any right back in this league.
Baffles me how people are surprised that Pinillos is class in this league. A blind man could have seen that going into the season. Pinillos is sublime, whilst Cavare is brutal on the other flank. We are blessed with our first choice full backs (for this level). They are streets ahead of any other full back pairing.
