The need to hesitate arises from the question of whether their replacements were up to the job, and especially so should the same situation arise in any of their respective positions again. Saying that we "dodged a bullet" is fine. But we ought to have adequate slot in replacements,in all positions. And I don't think today we had, in particular up front and in the nets. Elsewhere you can mix and match.
Christmas must be mint at your house... “yeah, Jesus might be the saviour of mankind but he still got nailed to that cross”. The bbs today is shocking.
I think the FFP or whatever it is restricts the super quality depth you demand in this division . You may get your wish if we are promoted .
I'd of took a draw before kick off Luton were in good form but we only conceded a pen and a sloppy goal that Walton should of got more on it and felt with it imo. Keiffer moore would of had the time of his life today and was missed as he can hold the ball up for runners but can't complain another 3 points still a game in hand. UTR
Got away with it? Luton barely threatened. Cheap penalty and a fluke. Okay they had a goal harshly disallowed but other than that, until we gifted them a penalty they did nothing. We fully deserved to win.
We got away with not really having adequate cover for most of the positions where players were missing today.
We didn't though did we? Because we were still the better team. If we'd won but took a bit of a bettering then yes, we could claim to have got away with it but that wasn't the case, we deserved the victory. While Luton fans can legitimately argue they were on the wrong end of a couple of important decisions, we can also point to the fact that their second goal was a bit of freak and they got a penalty from our naivety rather than a foul when they were in a goalscoring position. We were always in front and the better team and while Luton were OK the scoreline was a fair reflection of the game and we didn't get away with anything really.
Clueless. Sounds like the opinion of someone who didn’t bother watching the match just looked at the highlights and listened to Luton fans moaning.
Football has a lot of factors. To simply say we didn't have adequate cover after a pretty convincing win against a decent side is just absurd.
Does anyone seriously believe we have adequate cover for Dougall, Moore and Davies. We still managed to win today, but it would be foolish to think that means it isn't going to cost points in the future. This is what I meant in other threads about looking at the bigger picture. It isn't just about today.
You must have had your beer goggles on if you weren't concerned about Brown's lack of impact and Walton's nervy performance.
Weird how now you’ve moved your narrative. Almost like nobody’s agreed with you in your clueless opinions and you’ve had to change tact. Shame you haven’t mentioned the centre mid who replaced Dougall today just to go for the ill informed hattrick. I mean seriously imagine complaining after we won against a good side like Luton? And after playing good football for large parts of the game?
