So, got begrudgingly dragged to see 'A star is born' by the Mrs last night. Im not the romantic drama kind of guy, but heard it had gained high praise already so was willing to give it a go. Well, to say it was outstanding would be an understatement, I'd go as far as saying its one of my favorite movies for a long time. Honestly, go see it.
I'm going to see it with the other half. I really like Bradley Cooper though so I'm not surprised by the acclaim it's getting.
It looks good. Watched a featurette on it the other day. I doubt i'll venture to the cinema to watch it though. On another note, I watched Nic Cages new film Mandy the other day. That was absolute bonkers but a good film.
I’m getting dragged to see it shortly soon. Not the sort of thing I’d be wanting to see but I’ve seen reviews that back up what you’ve said.
Yeah, me too, and to say it's his debut directing is something else, aswell as Gaga's first time. I'd be very surprised if you didn't enjoy it.
I'd be interested to see what you thought. The connection between Cooper and gaga is brilliant and it's believable which is hard to do in my opinion.
Is it exactly the same story as the original with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson? Saw that years ago with the mrs and thought it was brilliant.
It was much better than I anticipated, although I wouldn’t go as far as saying I’d be in a rush to see it again. You’re right though, the connection between Gaga and Bradley Cooper is great. Apparently he took singing lessons for the role and I must say, his voice was decent and he’s a very good actor. I would imagine it’ll be a popular film with all the award ceremonies. Cute dog too.
