He left us in 13th place. With less than three months of the season to go. The fact that Hecky overcame this is testament to him. Doesn't change my opinion that Johnno was/is a conman.
Direct comments about intent to Mateo Corbo then. I never mentioned it. I said the stats confirm he is pinching a living.
He wouldn't. He will squeeze every penny he can out of his contract. Unless summat better comes along then he will want to ignore his contract.
It looked very much like you were saying that the stats confirm his intent as that was the part of his post you quoted. Actually quite a lot of your posts are questioning his integrity which is out of order IMO. The term pinching a living implies intent as well. I've seen nothing at all to suggest anything other than him being injury prone which in my opinion doesn't deserve a character assassination regardless of how careful you are to just imply it rather than explicitly stating it. The last player we all slagged off for and blamed his mentality for being injured turned out to have been the victim of mistreatment. Just a thought
Got a feeling Conan is on the special sauce tonight, with some of the baseless accusations he's making about Barnsley FC players and footballers in general
And I'm a "sociopath" for disagreeing with what is your opinion? Look back at any post of mine and tell me that I have been abusive towards you. Physician heal thyself.
47 starts in six years. He's either not good enough or not physically capable of playing professional football. To my mind that's stealing a living whether it's intentional or not. It's taking a good wage and putting nowt into the pot. Baffles me that folk will accept this of footballers but they wouldn't stand for it in their own workplaces.
Well... tell me that I'm not a sociopath (whatever that is) and we'll move on. I can readily accept your misdiagnosis.
Saying that someone is UNABLE to work through no fault of his own is ‘stealing a wage’ which whether you like it or not, definitely implies intent. Or maybe the very clear and obvious implications in your other post that footballers are too rich to be depressed.
If you are unable to play football then you can't be a professional footballer. If a pilot went blind do you think BA would continue to employ him/her? If you think I said footballers are too rich to be depressed I would respectfully ask that you stop replying to me immediately.
On that note I think we'll park it. We're on such different spheres of madness that any further discussion is futile.
Fair enough. I admit that looking at it again I probably read too much into your depression post. Apologies for that one. Just seen a lot of stuff on here recently about depression and money somehow being linked.
Well if you think Conan started this thread with the idea of considering "The Depressed" in any shape manner or form, you won't be reading this right now, cos you'll be dispensing soup somewhere to the cold and lonely.
Ryan Williams shows that perhaps the problem lies with our handling of players rather than the players themselves.
Seems like you're going round in circles here. As i have stated, to me the term "pinching a living" implies intent to deceive or even suggests Lloyd is happy with being injured. Therefore the stats don't prove he is pinching a living as they don't indicate intent. And therefore your claims are baseless. If, however, you believe "pinching a living" simply refers to a footballer who is injured a lot then yes, he is "pinching a living". I feel the phrase has more negative connotations attached to it though.
