    Just seen reports that people are being locked inside shops as somebody is 'running around' the town centre with a knife

    Seen some posts on FB Barnsley Community group. Someone saying their mums been locked on M&S another who’s wife has been locked in Costa.

    Women been detained by armed police. Someone saying they saw a bloke get stabbed.

    Just gone past Paddy Power bookies cordoned off front door boarded up police car parked smack in middle junction 2 jumped out came running back on Eldon St stopped at a big black 4x4 set off running again 4x4 switched hidden blue lights on did U turn in Eldon St and set off wrong thru queuing traffic

    Police car just dumped outside train station as well, possibly ditched to chase someone. Paddy Power all cordened off, staff all outside

    Some claiming its a terrorist attack....l've just drove through, armed response would be there in seconds not some regular cop car with a baton.

    The black 4x4 I saw wasn’t a “regular” police car had the blue lights on, only visible when switched on, and as I said spun round weaving thru traffic wrong way on Eldon St

    Some guy on twitter say g he was there and it was a Muslim woman screaming in Arabic try g to kill market traders and that two Muslim men were with her and are still running around the town.

    Look down his twitter feed and every tweet/Retweet is anti Islam and anti foreigners.

    Yeah just looked on the news channels 501 and 504 for BBC News and Sky News have it on both their tickers. If it gets called off not a single person can complain. Safety first.

    Please, please let's wait for the details before labelling this a terrorist attack.

    I'd doubt any but 0.01% of the Barnsley population are versed enough in Arabic to identify when someone may or may not be screaming in it.

    And a person's skin colour doesn't make them Muslim. Or a terrorist.

    Of course it's a terror attack. Someone has been attacking people in the town centre, causing terror to those who are there. Therefore it is indeed a terror attack. It's only the media that have us believe a terror attack is only Muslims when a terror attack is any attack that causes terror.
