If Barnsley fall off the pace like they did against Gillingham they will not get away with it and will be punished by Walsall. But after Gillingham I’d be surprised if it happened again - Stendel will have fixed that. Big blow that Dougall will be missing for this one. On the positives - Stendel should have Berhe and Woodrow available. Plus Isgrove if he’s up to speed. I’ll not be at this match. But I’m predicting a draw or a narrow win for Barnsley. 3;2
I'm really looking forward to this one. And agree its the toughest test so far and should give us a really good idea if we can finish higher than the playoffs. If we're to go up outright, this is the sort of game we should have to win. Pity two players will be missing, but again, it gives us an idea of strength outside of the regular first 11 which we'll need to be successful. I'm going for a slightly nervy 2-1 win.
If Walsall come out to play football we will pick them off and win if they come and sit like Wimbledon did we can still win but will need an earlyish goal to open the game up...
At the time, having won their first match away at Shrewsbury, I thought Bradford away would have been a stern test but Walsall will be difficult rest assured .
Woodrow is due to return to training next week along with Zeki Fryers according to the Yorkshire Post , so I doubt he will be available .
I would be very confident if we weren't withput dougall and Davies. Still have enough quality to do it though
I'll go with 2-0 to Walsall due to the enforced changes but I'd be thrilled to bits if we did win, one in-off Victor's large arse.
I don't think isgrove will ever be upto speed he is a great lad but just isn't cutting it with fitness...if I had a week at work then 3 or 4 weeks on sick im sure my boss wouldn't be happy
I can’t make this weekend as unfortunately I am away in Gloucester, however I am going for a 3-1 to the reds!
