I remember us playing incredible football for 60 minutes, then Potts getting injured, players tiring and 30 minutes of us trying to hold onto a win. But maybe that’s just me.
So we were massively unlucky not to be out of sight and they were a tad unlucky not to unjustly equalise ? I think that’s in our favour imo
they never had thirty minutes all game imo. As far as hanging on TBF they never looked like scoring even after being gifted the ball in crucial areas .
Yer joking right !?!?! Gillingham had FOUR golden opportunities to score. If they had taken half of those chances then Barnsley would have lost. And this was after Barnsley absolutely battered Gillingham for 65 minutes. If we play throughout a game like we did in the first 65 minutes - and put the chances away - then we will get promotion. If the players in a match suddenly start to believe that the game is over on 65 minutes - then we won’t get promotion.
No not joking at all.and they didn’t have their own way after 65 mins as you say so nowhere near the thirty mins suggested earlier . Your only giving credit to the four chances they missed which weren’t golden by any means. Teams are gonna get chances we not gonna batter teams 90 mins a game get real .we missed far more easier chances than they created are you gonna jump on every chance we miss in a season? You gonna lash out at that team performance well thats your perogative If the missed number of chances had been reversed I’d be worried at this moment in time I’m over the moon how our young team are coping but then I didn’t come on here moaning and refusing to get a season ticket like you did a couple of seasons ago and bragging about it.
I think we’re wasting our time replying to this poser. I used to think he was just a wind-up merchant who probably isn’t the sharpest tool in the box, but I’m afraid it’s seems it’s beyond that. Unfortunately he gets encouragement from the odd poster now and again, in particular one who claims he has merit in his claim that we were lucky not to have lost. Their keeper was by far the busier of the 2 keepers producing good saves that kept the score down, and even late on from that outrageous effort by Moore. However, we are told that they were unlucky.
We certainly didn’t take our foot off the gas we just ran out of steam. I don’t think there was any choice in it, it was more that the gas tank emptied. Potts got injured & Thiam & Moncur can’t do 90 minutes well so we need or back up players to be fit & ready. Hedges is the big one for me, he’s got the ability to look outstanding at this level. We need Isgrove, Woodrow & Bahre fit & ready too. If we can get them all up to speed I don’t think starters tiring & us having to make changes will effect us negatively.
I wasn’t there but the stats look ridiculously in our favour, 60+% possession and 20 odd shots? Looks like a murdering on paper.
I would absolutely defend anyone`s right to an opinion but would suggest that to expect near perfect football from this young Reds side is unrealistic. Am I more than a little happy with the start to the season? You bet I am!!!!
Wipe yer tears FFS !!! And when yer can see properly then read my posts again - starting with, we absolutely battered them for 65 minutes. Jeez.
No tears here you fekin numpty. We’ve no option but to read your posts again coz they’re all the fekin same. You posted we were lucky not to lose that game, FFS. Even a numpty like you couldn’t fail to see we battered them for about an hour.
