............ take the foot off the gas and teams in this league will get back to bite you.

    Strolling isn’t acceptable.
    Put teams to bed.

After totally dominating- Barnsley were lucky to come away with any points - never mind a win.
We need to be much much better than this if we are to be in with a shout of promotion at the end of the season !!!

You don't half talk some rubbish.... When did we take our foot off the gas?

We tired a bit towards the end but could have had 2 or 3 more in the second half from Moore alone.

Conceded a daft goal and Gillingham came back into it but we fully deserved the win.

We were hanging on a bit at the end, when we shouldn't have been.

So there's some merit in what Nudge said.

Not everyone was hanging on. A player in a key position didn't out an ounce of effort in. We played 20 minutes with 10 men. THAT'S what nearly cost us

Not a scapegoat. Just an observation which I doubt anyone other than you would disagree with. We had a passenger for 20 minutes

You might not have noticed that from running the game, we eventually weren't.

And it wasn't down to missed chances.

Well I reckon had we took just 1 of those missed chances in the second half, the match would’ve panned out in a totally different way. Instead of talking about hanging on, (and in 1 stupid post saying we were lucky not to lose) we could’ve been talking about a handsome win.

We could indeed have been talking about a handsome win, but at the end we were holding on.

They nearly scored once or twice.

So to just say Nudge's post is rubbish is being unfair.

I almost feel as though I'm missing the usual satisfaction of a win, because of the last half hour or so.

Not it’s not unfair to rubbish a claim that we were lucky not to lose that game. For me, some on here are letting their frustration of not comfortably winning that game and hanging on, cloud what actually happened.

My opinion was that they were lucky we weren't out of sight but we weren't out of sight and so when they came back into it we were lucky not to be rueing missed chances and were indeed hanging on.

Had they created and missed chances like we did, I would agree. We weren’t lucky to win even though I agreed we were hanging on, but it wasn’t like we had shots raining in from everywhere, It’s just had a lot of possession but no creativity. I believe people are confusing their frustration of us hanging on with is being lucky. Not true

We could be talking about Gillingham not having a goal chalked offside if their player had not needlessly touched it. The free header second half that went over. The goal mouth scramble we panicked with. Gillingham were well in the game and had clearer chances than us.

As an observation...and imho...I'd say firstly well done...fully deserved 3 points.
I would suggest 2 things we need desperately to work on davies with his distribution....he is creating unwanted pressure...and secondly let's work on our set pieces. We look less than dangerous from corners!
Nothing that can't be sorted on the training ground...and I really rate our coach.
Positively...our football for 60 to 65 mins was again fantastic.
25 more shots enough for two teams there.
Lastly the desire and application first class...but let's work on our said weaknesses please.
    Overall a "b" or ""b plus"...and we'll done...still a happy bunny.

We did have a nervous last few minutes when Gillingham sensed they might get something.
However, we saw out the game with a couple of scares that's all

The first half and most of the second we completely dominated, and should have had 6 or 7 but sometimes it just doesn't fall for us, and Moore should have easily had his second hat trick. Today we just could not get the killer third goal, but we WON THE GAME

    That's what matters next May

Keep averaging two points a game and we're promoted. Simples.

And we are doing better than that at 2.33 points per game I think 107 points will be enough
