Well done. Should continue to build his confidence. How many do we need to be called up for our match to be rearranged?

If that's the case and Dougall and McGeehan are also called up then I would expect us to rearrange.

 

Can't see Dougall getting called up? He's not played for senior team yet?

 

Would assume Woodrow and Jordan Williams will get called up to England Youth as well. I expect that Walsall game will be rearranged.

 

Dougall definitely won't be called up- Australia don't have a match til November!

 

Ah good news and bad then. Saw a report saying Dougall was being considered by the national team so think he'll get a call up eventually if he carries on playing well.

Here is the rule about postponement of the match due to Internationals. We need 2 more to be called up to have a chance of sorting it

Suggests he could still be missing even though no games being played.

 

Woodrow too old I think now. May have a chance with Williams but from what I can see wasnt in last squad.

 

I'm torn as I don't want us to play it and be short of players, but I also don't want it re arranged as I don't really like mid week games. Also a 50/50 chance I'd miss it altogether

 

Ah I see. Not sure whether that would count if he's not in a match squad though?

 

Have Walsall got any internationals?

 

No idea mate, guess it depends what "international selection" is defined as.

 

I am very torn too. Ideally want us full strength for the best chance of the win. But I have been offered chance of a free ticket for the Walsall game so that would be ideal. If it was to be rearranged to mid week though that would suit me better with work etc too though.

 

From what I can see, the England youth teams (19s and 20s) aren't playing in Sept (looks to be Oct/ Nov fixtures) so unless Walsall have 3 or Dougall counts and McGeehan gets called up it isn't looking too good.

Edit: Cavaré may save the day. Guadeloupe have a game and he played in a recent friendly by looks of it.

 

I would rather we played it when Davies was available, as Walton isn't up to first team action yet.

 

Looking at the Wales squad, I think Davies is 3rd choice keeper. Therefore I can foresee a situation where he trains with Wales during the week and if the other 2 keepers are both fully fit then he will be released from the squad to enable him to play for us on the Saturday. I am sure I have heard of this situation with other players at other clubs in the past .
