To be clear, I understand this is a minority and not 'the norm' - just something that jumped out.

The high horse our fans were on last season when teams referred to us like that suggesting they should be destroying us every week becomes a little thin wearing with the volume of posts on social media and on here that are dejected/defeated if we don't play brilliantly from minute one, and that suggest we should finish the season on 138 points and be promoted at a canter.

We aren't going to play brilliantly every week. We aren't going to be unbeaten all season. We've made a pretty good start. I understand Twitter is a small sample size, but it's a soul destroying place to be when we are losing.

"If we can't beat Scunthorpe the squad isn't good enough." Good grief, what a ridiculous way of viewing life, football and an isolated football match.

I agree with everything you say , suddenly a minority of our fans have developed a very arrogant attitude & that does us no favours as a club or a fanbase , a reality check would not go amiss , treat everyone with respect & you are on the right track .

This...in spades. Suddenly we’ve become a club as big as, oh I don’t know, Real Madrid!! No, bigger, Wednesday.
When we couldn’t beat ‘Teams like Wimbledon’ we had to be prepared for teams parking the bus. Well yesterday a ‘Team like Scunthorpe’ more than matched us with the ball at their feet for 60 mins. The players/coach deserve credit for finding a way back into that game and a point was a fair result, but listening to some.....Jesus.

Back to back clean sheets and four points for them. He's started off there well as Joey Barton. Saw in the Scunny programme yesterday they only took 80 odd fans there the other night for their 5-0 win. Be a few wishing they had gone.

I’d be more concerned if our Coaches and the team viewed it this way. Fans getting carried away because their team is doing either well or poorly is not unique to BFC fans.

We need arrogance to go up, for the first time ever the board has said it wants promotion. We should be beating teams like Scunthorpe.

    Wrong.
We should be beating teams like Scunny because recent form of both teams shows that we should.
And on the same line as that - the supporters of other clubs last season were right to say that they should have been beating Barnsley.

I will never understand why some fans have such a downer on their own club and are always looking for the smallest excuse to say "I told you so".

If I felt like that, I would stop going and distance myself from everything BFC related.

There is one bloke in this screenshot who constantly criticised the previous owner, calling him a crook. He admittedly doesn't go to Oakwell but hangs around social media winding it up, even now when we have a new regime in charge.

Surely things are good at the moment? Unbeaten in the league, 12 goals scored, only 2 conceded. Why would anyone seek to pick the bones and find negatives?

I disagree. Football doesn't work like that.

How many teams sack their manager and get a lift

You could replace that statement with:
"I will never understand why some people have such a downer on their own country and are always looking for the smallest excuse to say "I told you so". (Think Brexit) Seems to be a general negative attitude to most things in the UK at the moment. Must be something in the water.

Think Brexit, what is Brexit? Perhaps remainers have a positive attitude to their country and voted to remain. This country is fine, it’s just spoiled by the arrogant, uncaring upper classes that run it. Such a stupid comparison anyway.

Just because you want something does not give you the right to something , you have to earn that right & so far we are doing very well , as for "Teams like Scunthorpe " , that comment is very disrespectful , especially to a side who got to the play offs last season & regarding arrogance , I much prefer the word humility .
