Will Corbyn still be leading the Labour Party at the next election, whenever that may be

I will never vote Labour whilst Corbyn & Abbott are in charge.

 

However, were that to happen, we would only ever have one party in power. If "centrist" is the way that everyone wants, who would ever vote them out?

 

Interesting point about centrist voting. It's incredible to think that just over 3 years ago, british politics was firmly ensconced in the centre ground with the 3 main parties residing there. Ukip, being a radical outlier gaining protest vote.

You look at politics now and its incredibly difficult to see anyone in the centre ground and as such, makes it very tough for centrist pro EU voters to find a home.

 

Yes i acknowledged many people have 'cocked up' on camera and radio over the years and as a consequence have been pilloried too. Can't agree that there is a racist agenda in this specific instance though. I would have thought that most people in the labour party would have been dismayed by her often inept performances during the run up to the last election.

 

Then that implies that you are fine with the ‘Status Quo’ because its the only option that’s
currently available that’s different to what we have/ had for too many years.

 

It may be different, though i'm still not sure its credible either in terms of policy or people of competence and integrity to do it. An option 3 may be more palatable, but certainly can't see where it would come from, though Macron only formed a party about 3 years ago and got into power.

 

The joke was to do with not been able to make the sums add up for all the Labour promises. I haven't got a agenda with her coulor skin it was nothing to do with that and you know it I find it abit low calling someone a rasict for political point scoring. Like I said offer I still there not that I have anything to prove to you but you have got this one so wrong it's quite funny.

 

The credibility, competence and integrity of the policies of the people in this current Govt, are non-existent yet still command support and respect from its supporters, (albeit with a large protective umbrella from their media/news outlets) I still have hope (although dwindling) that the majority of people of this country will vote and get shut of this horrible, vindictive right- wing shambles of a Govt. We deserve better and I believe we would get better under Corbyn.

 

The Tory's are **** scared that Mr Corbyn will lead the Labour party to victory. Been waiting all my life for a true socolist like him be P.M.
May will not be the Tory leader at the next election you can bet your bottom dollar on that, the far right will have took over and put a p1llock like Baffoon Boris in charge, what with Brexit, Baffoon Boris and Trump, god help us all.

 

We voted for change from the status quo in 2016. That went well.

I think we'd get better if the smurfs were a political party. It's probably the worst government in my lifetime. My perception from seeing some of the offered labour spokespeople on programmes such as question time, is if (and they don't have the balance of support to deliver enough seats since Scotland swung more SNP and tory) they were to form a government, it would be even more lightweight.

Richard Burgon in particular, though Jonathan Ashworth is a close run second, is clueless and just doesn't have breadth of insight to talk about real life issues. Recall Burgon proudly heralding micro business leaders should take more time off, months, to be with their kids. Sadly, there would be no business to return to after those months, something he didn't seem to grasp.

 

I felt we just voted to continue on a self-destroying course that the right-wing of the Tories (and others) had advocated even if it did result in Brexit outcome. That’s why I feel there has been no change.

 

Can tell he'd be a good PM as the MSM are absolutely horrified of him. They hate this country and want to bleed it dry. People who watch the news and hate Corbyn have their priorities wrong and their heads in the sand

 

Exactly what change did we vote for in 2016? Except to give more power to the exact same incompetent people that have been messing up the country for the last 40 years?

For the record, Abbott didn't just **** up" as you put it. At least two of her interviews were absolute car crashes where she was totally unprepared and frankly embarrassing. No-one knows the full circumstances -whether she really was "unwell" as was claimed but that in itself shows a complete lack of judgement on the part of the LP press secretary, DA herself or the leadership to allow her to be so exposed.

Nor do academic qualifications - you appear to imply she has a '1st' (she studied history achieving a lower second class degree (2:2) in spite of being tutored by Simon Schama) - in themselves quarantee high performance/competence in the workplace throughout an individuals career. We have all encountered people in high positions within an organisation who appear to be out of their depth (the Peter principal) in the same way as we have all encountered highly able, influential people with little, on paper, to commend them. Not saying that is the case here but DA may have excelled as a constituency politician but not sure what qualifies her to be a potential home Secretary.

 

I actually think he is a very poor leader, and would be a very poor PM. I've read from various first hand sources, and from a few people I know in the Westminster bubble, that he has a tendency to abdicate things and fail to nail detail, instead allowing others to do it. He'll then helicopter in at the last minute going off piste, or doing something else instead that undermines the policy line.

I've not seen it first hand, but if that is the case, that's not a very good skillset or series of traits that make for successful leaders. He seems more suited to opposition and standing on soapboxes where detail and policy and process don't really matter.

 

And I don't recall anyone giving the Daily Fail accusations of hypocrisy when calling Corbyn anti Jewish. Who was it that wanted to stop German Jews fleeing to England in WW2? Why does the Sun call him a racist when they openly support Stephen Yaxley Lennon? All an agenda

 

I dont think hes totally infallible by any stretch, but his policies and ideas have inspired millions. Like someone said earlier if he can win the next election itll spell the end of this disastrous right wing, austerity ridden era. As long as hes got a cabinet on the same page as him itll be a breath of fresh air for the normal people of Britain. And itll be one in the eye for the dictatorship that they call the MSM. Plus the giant corporations using GB as a tax haven
