https://www.efl.com/news/2018/july/efl-appointments-3-7-august-2018/ Ross Joyce, supposedly one of the younger, fitter ones. From the North East. Friday will be the 643rd day without a home league penalty at Oakwell, Mr Joyce - see what you can do to end that on Saturday, please mate!
How many games is that since our last home penalty? We must be holding the record now in English football.
Highly thought of to be head of development and still only 32...... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4365866/Angry-football-supporter-pushes-referee-ground.html Unless of course you're part of York City and then you might not like him...... http://www.yorkpress.co.uk/sport/2194484.York_City_seeing_red_over_dismissals/ Last season 150 yellows and 2 reds in 41 games, with just 4 of them not having any bookings...... http://www.soccerbase.com/referees/referee.sd?referee_id=1047
Think its 38 or thereabouts. Not sure about the other leagues but when I looked towards the end of last season in the Championship only Ipswich were ahead of us which gives even more fuel to the anti-Barnsley argument, given who their manager was for the majority of that time! After Mick left Ipswich got one in their last home game!
Clearly, there have been many occasions when we should have had a stonewall penalty! Last season saw many dubious ones given against us, a number of which sealed our relegation (eg Bolton). I simply do not believe that no opponent has fouled a Barnsley player in the area during all this time! Consequently, in my measured opinion, there’s been massive bias v us (or to put it more succinctly, We Wuz Robbed!)
