Isn't he injured? They have signed 11 players. Will take some gelling and still have big earners on their books.
Okay so last season Wyke got 12 in 23 for Bradford but Kieffer Moore got 13 in 22 for Rotherham both in league 1. Says to me that Kieffer Moore scores more goals in fact.
kieffer moore 29 goals over the last 3 seasons charlie wyke 55 goals over the last 3 seasons that's the beauty of stats they can be easily manipulated
That is very true, stats can be manipulated. However, Kieffer Moore has played (and scored) at championship level whereas Wyke has not. Let me ask you this, if we had Wyke and Sunderland had just bought Kieffer Moore, would your opinion still be the same?
Unfortunately he didn't score enough goals to maintain our championship status and my original post wasn't criticising him? I was merely saying that 600k for a proven goal scorer in league 1 (which is the league we are in) would have made sense in my opinion if we want to go back up at the first attempt
I was talking about the levels they have played and scored at. So you would rather have wyke than moore? I wouldn't and wasn't surprised we knocked back offers from championship clubs for him this summer.
Wasn’t criticising? You said you wanted a striker that could score goals, how is that not a criticism?
he's had 6 months at that level? I'm glad we've kept him too and merely thought wyke would have been a decent acquisition
Charlie Wyke 25 Conference 12 Appearances 2 goals League 2 107 Appearances 38 goals League 1 81 Appearances 24 goals Total 200 Appearances 64 goals - A goal every 3.1 games Keiffer Moore 25 Norwegian League 9 Appearances 0 goals Conference 37 Appearances 12 goals League 1 52 Appearances 16 goals Championship 51 Appearances 8 goals Total 149 Appearances 36 goals - A goal every 4.1 games
I'd have liked to have seen the lad sign for us, as he appears to possess a decent scoring record. I'm quite happy with Moore and Bradshaw, but Wyke would've been able to offer decent competition to them.
