I enjoyed his musings. We had a fair few ‘battles’ regarding players, analysis and whatever else and he was essentially hounded off the forum at the end. He messaged saying he had tried to rejoin/log in and wasn’t able to. It’s a football forum for Barnsley fans after all and I enjoyed the debate.
You are the one who said its a privacy issue but are unable to come up with a reason why it is. No need to get all moody because you don't know what you meant
I’ve explained my concerns above. If you disagree and don’t share the same concerns then that’s fine, it’s not a problem. You don’t have to turn every thread into something about you. Further, not a huge fan of the website being not secure in terms of logging in. Seems daft in 2018 that it’s not a secure log in though I do appreciate that it’s a voluntary service.
I haven't tried to log in to the site for a long time. Have you been trying to log in recently or something?
I'm not admin so I don't know the ins and outs, but I do work for a company that really does deal with sensitive data, and the way we do things with regards to deleting accounts is similar to the scenario you highlighted so I thought I'd give you our reason for doing so.
The link I gave you takes you to an error? It takes me directly to a list of all Hemsworth tykes posts. Does so on both my tablet and phone
He made himself look a prat by asking for likes in return for gossip. Nobody had much time.or respect for him after that plus he did admit to enjoying winding people up.
As Plobby said above, the board is terribly dull without certain posters, including RAC. I’d trade one controversial football thread to a thousand “******* JamDrop” threads.
No idea why it doesn't for me then. Takes me straight to all of his posts. How about this link? http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/search/member?user_id=7198
It does but then HT isn’t on the list of top posters despite being prolific. Nor is his profile accessible. It’s clearly a historical list.
That's because he's banned. If his account no longer existed you couldn't view his post list etc. When you're banned you can but you can't view the profile. An example of a deleted account is Whitey. His oldest account no longer exists so you can view a post made by him but can't view his post list or anything as the member Id doesn't exist.
So what has happened to @redarmychris then? He isn’t banned as he’s visible and contactable yet he isn’t able to log in as the email associated with his account has been changed by someone. That’s the point.
