maybe not a full transfer window but they were in charge by mid January . They have done nothing so far apart from overseeing our relegation which amazingly some people have almost embraced . Our silent owners need to find their voices .
I started a thread about this & was amazed that some on this board would welcome the sale of Tom Bradshaw , unbelievable
You must have me confused with someone who agrees the fees. And as none of us know any fee unless its publicly stated, I wouldn't get your knickers in a twist about it. And how do you know who we've got our eye on, what's been discussed behind the scenes and attitude of players and agent? At the end of the day, Bradshaw is going. It's the most obvious outcome that's been evident since the season ended. If that allows us to buy a midfield that can compete, I've no issue with it.
Don't we also need a forward line that can compete? As for undisclosed fees. Should be banned in my opinion
Wouldn't welcome it as such but not too upset if he does leave for the price suggested. Had a decent return in league one for two seasons but overall i think he's a rather average player who lacks pace, strength or the ability to hold it up.
Of course we need a forward line who can compete. But he's a championship player who was our top scorer last season and only has a year on his contract. We know full well how that's going to pan out.
Grendel?? Because it rhymes with his surname?? Brilliant. His name is Daniel. It’s like having P G Wodehouse writing on here.
So you agree with the alleged fee being discussed with Millwall of around £ 800 k for a Championship striker , fair enough but I would not be asking you for any financial advice, & you are right , I do not know who we have got our eye on, but we have Bradshaw under contract who we know can do the job, why look at anyone, keep him
Fair enough, strange though , if he is such an average player who lacks pace etc why Championship clubs want to sign him to play in the championship but by your reckoning he is not up to doing a job for us in division one , strange indeed
We've had this discussion before, so I'm not doing groundhog day with you. I'm neither agreeing nor disagreeing with gutter press speculation. The club know the situation. You said the other week to trust the manager, so I suggest following your own advice. We don't know if he wants Bradshaw. We don't know the fees. We don't know the offers made or not made. We don't know if he has contract clauses following relegation. We don't know if the agents wishes and influences. We don't know if his wages are blocking other transfer business. Unless a club publicly names the fee, don't get your knickers in a twist.
Up to doing a job in league one yes, but don't think him staying or going will have a massive impact on our season. Would also rather have someone who wants to be here. I think if you judge Bradshaw on his appearances for Barnsley then there is very little to suggest he is championship standard. Can't see him being more than a squad player at that level.
To be honest, after 30 years, I'm always enthused at the dawn of any new season. Irrespective of outgoings or incomings, we have to put our faith in Herr Stendel and get behind him, his coaches and the squad in the hope that they can have a better season than last. As for selling our better players, what's new.? As someone has said previously, we are Barnsley, it's what we do. Billionaires in charge. Yes indeed, but reprise to the takeover press conference and Paul Conway " we will invest, but we are not going to do anything crazy." Said it all for me.
You have said it all , he is up to doing a job in league one & thats where we will be playing next season , end of for me, enjoy yer day
