Because every action taken by the board & Ganaye deserve that sort of response from me. They've relegated us in the easiest championship season ever to stay up. If things were good I would praise them but they are anything but.
Not at all. As I've said its not that we didn't throw 20m at one player its the fact they've brought in absymal players like Matt Mills & Pinillos. It was the worst transfer window in my 14 years as a supporter and that's without the fact we were owned by a multi-billionaire!
This is what you said. "We will end up with a weird underwhelming head coach appointment, a squad of Ike Ugbo's and Thiam's with no League One record and they will charge £30 to watch us play Fleetwood on a Tuesday night! " Have a moan by way of a reasoned post by all means, but to base your moans on what's happened. Not on what you think will happen in the future.
It clearly wasn't. Besides, there are lots of other things we've done in the past, to include being in the prem, almost getting back there, fa cup semi, JPT winners, Why just base your concerns on the bad stuff?
Personally I think we need someone with more pace than Bradshaw to play off Moore I'd be happy if Tom stayed as he'd do well at that level, but not devastated if he left.
Such as appointing a manager who had taken a team from the foot of the table to the champions league, singing champions league winners, World Cup finalists and spending £9m on a player?
If we sell Bradshaw, it will be further proof that the new regime intend to stick with the existing blueprint. He has one year left on his contract and has proved he can score goals in the 2nd tier, guaranteeing we will make a significant profit. A statement of intent that we are putting all our resources into bouncing straight back, would be to ignore that and keep him.
I mean things chien lee and mr paul 'we aren't doing anything too crazy' conway have done in the past
probably the most over rated player I have ever seen in a Barnsley shirt. How many times does he pass it into the west stand or duck out of challenges? Pinnock on the other hand, now he is a centre half!
Yes profit is not really useful if we aren't going to use it to get someone better, and in this case I can't see us getting anyone better than a striker who scores 20 plus season after season in League 1.
Yes I agree Bradshaw is not the paciest and this hindered him at Championship level but it is less of a problem in League 1 where the quality is lower and majority of teams have your big slow no nonsense centre halfs.
What’s Wigan the place got to do with anything? Do you think he’ll honestly live there? Nearly all our players live in Leeds / Sheff / Wakey so I’m pretty certain a lot of the Wigan players will be in Manchester or nice area’s on the outskirts
He’s underrated if anything, ridiculous that Potts was ahead of him on the player of the season vote. I don’t know how many times he ducks out of challenges or kicks the ball into the West Stand, I’ve not noticed him do either very often. I sometimes see him having to go with a long ball that goes to the opposition because our midfielders aren’t showing for the ball & Zeki backwards Fryers & the other centre back aren’t as comfortable on the ball so they pass it to Lindsay all the time. I wouldn’t mind if you said something like ‘I still think Lindsay’s a work in progress’ but to say he’s got zero potential is one of the daftest things I’ve read on here & there’s a lot of daft comments. Pinnock’s barely played for us, he’s showed some promise at times & I like what I’ve seen but we’ve not seen enough of him.
We can talk about January recruitment all we want but the facts are we were outside the bottom 3 in January & had a well organised side that lacked quality in the final third. Forget about Knasmullner, Mills, Pinillos & Mahoney. The signings of Moore & McBurnie alone should’ve been enough to get us over the line especially when we had less injuries in the second half of the season as well. They gave us that bit of quality / hold up play in the final third that we lacked but unfortunately we seemed to lose our shape, organisation & team morale under Morais. Any competent manager would’ve kept us up in my opinion.
sorry but we were dropping like stone at that point, in about 20 games the only team we'd beaten was Sunderland and even then it was clearly down to them being so terrible. We'd just gone something like 8 games without scoring a single goal until Pinnock popped up with a few.Our best player Harvey Barnes was recalled for some silly reason. In this moment it was clear that we need vast improvement across the field. Goalkeeper, Centre Half, Centre Mid, Winger but they failed to deliver!
