Think he was sacked. Reads like we had a clause that if we went down we could end the contract and presumably not have to pay him off or at least not pay it up in full.
Definitely didn’t choose to leave. Clause in the contract that meant we could get rid without having to pay him off.
There was nothing in his managerial record before he pitched up here to suggest he was any good. There was nothing in his back up role history (scouting opposition for Mourinho) to suggest he'd be any good. There was nothing he did while he was here to suggest he was any good. I really wish we'd got Jack Ross. Next manager needs to be competent and appointed early.
Wonder if the board just bought into all his believe nonsense? Did he just do a really good sales job on them? Did they not see past the Mourinho link? What help did they have to come to the decision? Is there sufficient knowledge of football to make that decision between however many are on the board. I'd be interested to hear how they are going to avoid a further debacle for the next appointment.
I'd agree there. I struggle to see who has the in depth knowledge of english football to make the right choice of manager. Maybe Mick McCarthy fancies a bit of short term consultancy work to help us source the right man?
