https://www.footballinsider247.com/leeds-set-sack-paul-heckingbottom/ maybe if Villa beat them on Friday he will be for the off. Macca already in the frame https://www.footballinsider247.com/...-go-all-out-to-bring-this-man-to-elland-road/
Leeds are bang in mid table - if they win all of their remaining games they can't get in the playoffs nor can they be relegated if they lose all their remaining games. What would be the point of sacking a manager with only three games left (assuming they lose their next game)? They still have to pay him so surely even a basket case club like Leeds will wait until the season is over.
You're making a fundamental error there though Mario when it comes to Leeds. You're assuming that logic comes into it.
Do you think it’s a coincidence McCarthy decided he can’t see the season out the day before heckys surrounded by rumours he’s about to be sacked? Did you see how Leeds operated in January?
I don't know, you could be right but isn't he under contract at Ipswich still so would he be able to do anything this season? I'm clutching at straws and hoping that Hecky is still there when we play them.
Hecky's remit was to keep their play off hopes alive. He's failed miserably at that so it doesn't surprise me too much that they're moving him on, not with their track record.
Wouldn't it still be at the discretion of Ipswich? Like I say I'm clutching at straws here, just hoping that Hecky is still there until the end of the season.
I think he made it clear he was keen to get straight back into management so im guessing it has been mutually terminated?
It could only happen to us. If he does end up there it could be that his last game at Ipswich was a win against us and a couple of weeks later his first win for Leeds is against us.
Mick strikes me as a bloke with a lot of common sense. I dont buy into this hes a big Leeds fan. Only thing ive read was that he admired them a lot as a kid due to Bremner etc. With all the crap hes had to put up with at Portman Road, I just can't see him being attracted to Leeds unless he's seeking a decent payoff when the inevitable happens.
Even Colin couldn’t turn around Leeds and he has one of the best track records in the FL promo and avoiding relegation wise . Mick will need time to build imo he’s the type of manager that is meticulous when choosing players and allowing them to get to grips with his style it’s just not the Leeds way at all.
