We have loaned out Mowatt, Bird & McGeehan, we have lost Williams and have now only 3 fit central midfielders, one of whom as failed to get a game for half the season. Yes, I would say that was a **** up, when our Championship status is very much in question. I suppose you reckon it's not? LOL, some of our fans. Honestly.
If Mcgeehan, Mowatt or Bird is the answer, you're asking the wrong question. Lets take a look at the 3 potential championship saviours' March: McGeehan in league 1: -Unused sub -Unused sub -Unused sub -86th minute sub -87th minute sub Mowatt in league 1: -Unused sub -88th minute sub -Sent off for comedy red card after 60 minutes, completely losing his team the game -Suspended Bird in league 2: -Brought off in 72nd minute -Unused sub -PLAYED 90 MINUTES!!! -PLAYED 90 MINUTES!! So thats 321 minutes played from 1170 potential minutes played in the league below and 2 leagues below, a match losing red card and a suspension. Again, your premise is ridiculous. We will not be relegated based off any of these 3 being out on loan. I'd rather play someone we have out of position. Sithi.
So you "Mr Positive" think these are 3 crap players, that given we only have 3 fit central midfielders we are better off without. I would point out two of them have been bought for fairly substantial fees (by our standards), one in the summer & one last January & the other is the product of our academy. That seems pretty bloody negative to me. Some of our fans. Who would have 'em 'eh, writing off our young players like that.
Who told you I'm mr positive? I'm just not deluded enough to think a pair of midfielders that can't get a game in league 1 are going to save us from relegation. I can see this is very difficult to understand for you so lets leave it there.
Mowatt has played loads for Oxford pretty sure he came back from suspension and played the full game yesturday
Not levelling the finger at anyone, Heckingbottom or Morais but surely the one thing our players should be is fit enough to manage a high intensity 90 minutes. Their youth, inexperience and perceived lack of quality aren't something that can be quickly addressed but surely to god we could have ensured they were fit enough to compete!
