I hope we do stay up but If it is your turn to be relegated then everything seems to conspire against you, some self inficted others due to circumstances you cant control.Injuries, loss of form by key players, managerial decisions , sale of key players. Plus in our case the loss of Patrick Cryne, Paul Heckingbottoms defection to Leeds of all clubs, the Tommy Wright incident last year, the long drawn out takeover, the CEO fiasco, not signing Mc Burnie in August In short nowt seems to have gone right . No doubt the sale of key players last year was a body blow. Instead of reinforcing that team we just sold it off or let contacts expire....Selling or letting your better players has never yet made a team stronger...its not rocket science.
Nothing has conspired against us. I wonder where we would be if the takeover had gone through in May or June.
Its guesswork , who is to say the players would be any better or any worse , you can"t say & I can"t , you hope they would be but we will never know
I think we might have spent a bit more money instead of going for a dozen punts under 23. All academic now anyway.
Correct , we will never know , however the picture might become a lot clearer when we assess the summers transfer activity
