WWE is only soap opera I catch now and again if I’m waiting for something else to come on, more into live sport, dramas, real life crime, and history programs than soaps to be honest, I haven’t seen a soap opera since I moved out of mi mothers house 20 years ago. I very rarely watch BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, Channel4 or Channel5. If theirs anything good that’s been on them channels and people are talking about them I’ll watch on catch up.
No Soap now or ever tops " Crossroads". Cast forgetting their lines, scenery collapsing, it was a viewers dream. Watched it one night and it got a bit " saucy". At the end of one episode Benny was talking to " Miss Diane" when he said, " Miss Diane, you knows that 'oi likes you. Well 'oi gonna give you a kid." I couldn't wait for the next nights episode. Rushed home from work puts the telly on. Benny walks into the Motel and presents Miss Diane with a fecking goat.! Absolute classic. Now unfortunately the so called "entertainment" is reflective of certain parts of modern society re- substance abuse, abortion, acid attacks, violence and murder which is sad really.
One of my current favourite programmes is " This Country" a Mockumentary written and performed by Daisy May and Charlie Cooper , about the day today lives of two young people growing up in a small Cotswold village. It shows the social shortcomings of the two main characters Kerry ( Daisy May) and Lee " Kurtan" ( Charlie) Mucklowe who wander about the village getting into all kinds of situations. It's well worth a watch and as far as I'm concerned, makes a change from some of the dross or the numerous repeats shown on telly these days.
Just used the block/ignore button for only the 2nd time. Don't think I have seen 1 BFC related post from Redkestrel all random crap
Nah my uncles who all worked down the pit at Grimethorpe used to have those solid green blocks of Fairy soap - that would remove the grime off anything. We always had imperial leather at home when I was growing up so I dont know which I would pick between them
Imperial Leather...............Imperial bloody Leather, what in Barnsley? you're taking mickey aren't you?
Wombwell actually - my parents were both teachers so does that make me middle class rather than working class and so allowed such luxuries
