Just looking at historical results and there's nowt to separate us.

We've yet to beat another Yorkshire club this season though.

Great memories of this fixture before they moved to the new ground. Rarely lost there but they always beat us at Oakwell.

Looking forward to Tuesday (if it's on)

Not always, but they/Hull are similar to Birmingham & Blackburn, in that we often won more games away to them rather that at home.

Has this game turned into a do not lose rather than must win after Saturday?

Given that a point would put us two points clear with a much better goal difference than those below us I'd say it has. We've got to go and be positive though because a four point gap would give us a huge psychological boost.

I still think its a must win, when you look at this cluster of "easy" games against relegation candidates, we've picked up just 4 points out of 9. 5 points out of 12 wouldn't be great. Especially as the quality of teams is going to step up after Tuesday night. The next 3, Norwich, Cardiff, Boro... points there would be a bonus, so yes, I think Hull is still must win.

Play to win. We have to try and deny any points at all to relegation rivals. And back to back wins would give players and supporters a huge boost going into Saturday's home game.

I still refuse to accept that Hull is a part of Yorkshire.

I suppose your Yorkshire does not include Middlesbrough either.

East Riding of Yorkshire, in old money, and Barnsley is in the West Riding.

You've piqued my curiosity, so I checked on Wiki and found this:

"Middlesbrough became a county borough within the North Riding of Yorkshire in 1889. In 1968, the borough was merged with a number of others to form the County Borough of Teesside, which was absorbed in 1974 by the county of Cleveland. In 1996, Cleveland was abolished, and Middlesbrough Borough Council became a unitary authority within North Yorkshire"

So basically they're back to where they started. I'll admit that I don't really think of them as a Yorkshire club. They just seem too far away. And they talk funny... not like us.

Dunno about "must win", as we won't be relegated if we lose, but I think we certainly need to be looking at going to win as oppose to playing for the point to keep us out of the bottom 3.

Might be a bit different if we could count on our home form.

Imagine winning tomorrow and Saturday v Norwich! Dreamland!
