Calm down. You always maintain that your opinions are based on logic not emotion. This seems like an emotional response. It seems to me that because you started supporting BFC in the fourth division you think this is where we belong and you refuse to accept that the club has the potential to be anymore than that. Hence your suspicion of the involvement of anyone who is not from Barnsley.
Surely, every job in football is challenging. Doesn't the turnover in Managers prove that. The challenge is based upon expectations. If you are the new Manchester City manager, the challenge is to measure up to the success of Pep. If you are manager of Barnsley the challenge is to keep us up with an inadequate squad. Why is Barnsley different to any other club and why has he agreed to become our coach instead of all the other offers that he had in his pocket?
LOL. You used to talk a bit of sense. I'd start thinking about doing other stuff. Maybe a UKIP gardening meditation group, or alternatively there is a group of born again christians looking at befriending lions, just to test their faith.
It was my first worry when I saw we'd appointed a foreign coach! But as I spend a lot of my life training non-native English speakers who are professional people to be understood in very serious business situations in English, I can honestly say that from what I heard, his English level is not cause for concern in my opinion. Obviously I could be wrong, but my first impression was that he's got a very solid command of the language, far better than most foreign coaches you hear interviewed.
And what else do you think you know about me? The problem for me is this, I cannot understand why you persistently follow me about if you have such a low opinion of my opinions. Do you just enjoy calling me names or is there something else that I have been unable to detect from the constant stream of abuse that you direct my way.
He certainly knew most of the stock answers, but in my experience, there is more to it that that when you are talking to fellow professionals. You have to be able to command respect, otherwise you find people in corners talking behind their hands about the doubts that they have about you. Anyway, time will sort it all out I guess.
Can I be the first to have a guess at who you are? I'm gonna guess it's our Lass., I've never won a debate with her in 25 years.
Just a question. Its part of the interview for the job of Red Rain's psychiatrist. I need advice on how to control my fantasist tendencies.
Are you implying that our new Head Coach is telling lies ? If so , thats a big accusation without any evidence , unless of course you have some
No. What I am saying is that every club is a challenge. That is obvious. What I wanted was an answer to the question that made some distinction between Barnsley and every other club in the world. Something that set my club apart from every other club and made it impossible to turn down the job offer. Something more than it was the only offer on the table.
Maybe it was in context with his job offers and Barnsley presented a challenge that the other offers did not
Well. Hes openly stated hes going to ditch 442. To his own preference of 4231/433. Id have thought thay was enough for you to be really pleased based on what you post
I might be getting this wrong, but if someone says they would like to hear something nearer the truth , then what they are saying is that what has been said is untrue , therefore a lie or is my understanding too simplified
Well I can see why we are more of a challenge than say Ipswich and hundreds of other clubs in Europe at this moment in time
No, he has simply said what he thinks everyone wants to hear. People, and particularly football managers do it all the time. Keith Hill used to tell people what he thought and look how far that got him. His team played decent football, but when luck and injuries went against him, people were quick to throw his words back in his face. Do you think Hecky always told us the truth?
