Having watched a few games on the box, I quite fancy going to see an IPL match (possibly at Eden Gardens) - its not the same sport as a proper test match, but I think the atmosphere would be better even than a test in India.

For those who said Wimbledon, you can just go and queue up to get tickets on the day - you might have to be there early, but there is nothing stopping you from doing it.

I also fancy one of the big mountain stages at Le Tour, but doubt I'd be able to get anywhere near...

I'd also like to do a mountain stage on le tour, mont ventueux or alp d'huez preferably.

I'd also like to go to a men's downhill skiing event, in Austria or Switzerland and the last track day at an olympics when the relays take place.

And that horse racing round the square in italy.

Can’t believe no one on here as mentioned, badminton horse trails, the croquet finals, or polo at the palace.

You can always count on be to bring a dark cloud of realism to any joyous occasion. I can come
You can always count on me to bring a thread crashing down!

I'm not that much into other sports or premier league / european football, my interest in Barnsley FC is about as far as it goes.
Been to Wembley with the reds a few times now, so this was the best I could come up with, as I think it's unlikely we are going to raise the European cup anytime soon.

I went to Twickenham for a mates 40th about 8 years ago to see England vs France. Was a great stadium & atmosphere, but I struggled with the funny shaped ball they were kicking around.

Was lucky enough to do the Boxing Day & New Years test in Oz this time.

Cape Town new year test at Newlands is top of my list tho, waiting till the kids have buggered off & I’m retired before I do that one!

I remember Sri Lanka losing a world cup quarter or semi to India in Columbo and the locals were setting fire to anything they could find that would burn. Absolutely batshit mental and very scary. And that was on telly! I thought Geoffrey was going to have an aneurysm in the commentary box!

Not the downhill, but I've been to the Giant Slalom World Cup in Sölden, Austria which is the first World Cup event of the season in October each year. 10000 people half way up a glacier is pretty impressive.

I'll be there this coming Friday to ski the same course, but at a somewat more leisurely pace...

Been trying to think of some others but I can’t think of any, I can’t think of anything worse than watching cricket, rugby, and F1 so that’s out of the window for me, wouldn’t mind watching swimming, boxing, dancing horses, rowing and cycling at the Olympics

I'd love to watch Barnsley win the FA Cup at Wembley.

I did T20 world cup in sri lanka. Went to a day with 2 games at the same ground with Pakistan and India both playing and the atmosphere was the best thing I’ve ever been involved in. Non-stop singing and dancing in really great spirits.

Agree with you about Sri Lanka. Great place ravaged by a civil war for too long the people and food are both fantastic.
