From Ganaye's comments and some of the links, it looks like the board are going to target coaches who have developed younger players and put the hours in on the training ground to coach and improve youngsters. That being the case, the likes of Darren Moore, Paul Simpson and Karl Robinson seem more realistic than Graysons or McCarthys. It takes a talented coach to do both and spend time instensively on each players game and also get the team organised and able to pick up points. Just shows the size of the task we have ahead in replacing the departed Head Coach.
They need to expand the size of the coaching team for me. Head Coach Assistant Head Coach First Team Coach x 2 (at least)
You're probably right, but this is arguably even more difficult than just picking one person. Assembling a team who can all quickly slot in and work productively together is never easy in any field of work.
Adam Hammill is out of contract in the summer, I’d offer him a player coach role, but then again I’d have Paul Harsley as head coach, and push everone up a level who are coming up behind him.
What we are asking for from a coach and the wage we are willing to offer would automatically rule out an experienced manager I would of thought... Its looking more and more likely we will be getting an untested man in which I don't believe we need if we want to stop in the championship.
