Upset a bit as he is a barnsley lad bit to be fair. Leeds are a big club with bigger fan base and probably more money for lakers and pay. Problem he has leeds have no patience at all with managers its instant success or the sack
Disappointed and upset that he has decided to go to Leeds, but in someways I’m glad that it might give us a turn in fortunes in the league. New thinking in regards to tactics and playing personnel or has confidence slipped too much to turn things around? Who knows apart from waiting and seeing what occurs! Who ever gets the job next I’ll be going down to Oakwell and support us no matter which league we end up in!
Upset when first heard but understand his reasoning to leave. What could be more upsetting is the replacement we end up with.
I think that's where I am too Disappointed with the timing, what with the transfer window only having just closed, the signing of the new contract, the Wednesday game coming up and the perilous situation we find ourselves in. And of course his choice of destination
Can we have a third option please? I'm gutted it has come to this, but I'm kind of optimistic for the future* * - The caveat of the above statement is that we appoint someone with experience of working with a smaller budget and fighting(and winning) relegation battles...
I started off really disappointed but now I just want it done and a new man in place. Odds are with a change of Manager we will stay up this season and maybe a new manager to go with the new owners is what we need. We had got to the stage where we couldn’t score in a brothel with a gold card glued to the forehead..... something needed to change.....
Disappointed he has gone and especially that he is leaving to them. But results have not been good enough for a while and so a new manager if could be a good thing
I’m neither to be honest. I’m fairly laid back about how football is these days. I don’t like it but I accept the way it is.
Well he was going Sunderland .. then everyone ..was buzzing when he didn't or didn't get the job ..then 2 weeks later many were calling for his head .. I'm glad he's gone ..He'd gave been sacked before not too long..
Is there an option for "slightly upset for sentimental reasons but ultimately not that bothered as I'm looking forward to a fresh face and hopefully some wins"?
I'm upset that he's gone. I've frequently posted that I backed him 100% and make no apologies for doing so. However, I'm a Barnsley fan through thick and thin and that doesn't change just because Hecky has left. I'm proud to be a fan, it's not a badge to be worn when things are going well, simply to be conveniently dropped when they aren't.
Glad.....opportunity for the club to move forward rather than tread water. He had his skills which were restricted to developing young players imo....but he didn't recruit well and his team selections left a lot to be desired. I couldn't see him turning it around, results wise and perhaps a new manager will provide us with a better chance.
Disappointed he's gone, but also at taking the backroom staff too. This event must have been in the planning for some time, for so many to make a career change in supposedly such a short period of time.
