IF that is true then Leeds have not learnt from their past mistakes.

It wouldn’t surprise me. Leeds are a big club like it or not although they are living on distant past glories. £30k per week or £1.5m pa. they like to think that they piss in the same pot as the premier league clubs who pay there managers mega bucks. Wenger is on over £8m pa. Now I’m not comparing him to ph but if you apply a sliding scale then Leeds manager on £1.5m isn’t beyond belief.

Surely Hecky and his agent haven't demanded 30k? They could offer him 10k a week and he would probably accept it.

The difference here with hecky and winnall / Johnson is that hecky is a barnsley lad, to me that is significant in all this and family friends home are more important than money. Hecky is only 40 with a long time left in the game if he is not already he will be very very wealthy by the time he is 45 even without going to that scum bag club.

 

1.5m a year for someone with hecky's CV is an astronomical amount really and you would be mad to turn that down, that's more than roughly half the current premier league managers earn

That's miles off the truth mate. He'll earn much more than he did here but he certainly won't be earning 30k a week. Maybe a month, but not a week.

 

A wild stab in the dark, something like 5k a week, and that's with the new contract.

 

The release clause is 500k which suggests to me that a years pay was 500k because the clause for damages usually represents a years pay, not all the time, but usually.
