How often after a manager is sacked or leaves do a team seem to get a new lease of life and start playing well? Maybe I’m too optimistic but could it happen to us?
He wouldn't fit in our dugout and I'm fecked if I'm having my view restricted even more by building him a new one.
Yep I've seen stats that show a higher than average win ratio in the first game under a new manager but little to back it up beyond that.
Basically most managers get sacked at the bottom of a cycle of poor results that overtime will ‘ bottom out’ and you will return to the average. https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/soccernomics-does-sacking-manager-actually-make-difference
Agree. Couple of other studies from Dutch and German football correlate with this too. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-23724517
I think we are on the verge anyway of putting a run together and getting a few wins, I'm also excited encouraged about our new signings.
