Those who said Hecky should be out ought to ask themselves why a club like Leeds have moved for him so strongly. We are now in serious, serious trouble.
I reckon this is nailed on. Things don't gather this much speed without substance. Sky were peddling it this morning, almost to pad the news to Leeds fans. Multi names were mentioned briefly, then they went into detail about Heckingbottom fitting the structure, being well thought of, having a release clause in a new contract. This is going to happen.
sounds like he’s off. Typical. Can’t blame him. Especially with some “fans” singing for him to be sacked and his team being dismantled last January. Makes his decision easier. Leaves us right in the *****. Hopefully we can move quickly, appoint a manager who can get an instant reaction. My choice would be Crowley at Lincoln. Edit: but looking up “exciting” second or third division French managers just in case....
Leeds have said he is the preferred candidate and that they are prepared to meet the release clause inserted last week.
Well you know clubs, agents and players all use Sky to help them if they can. The tone of the piece made it seem like there was plenty of substance in it. Whether you like their shitty news channel or not is irrelevant in the circumstances.
I wonder if he leaves, if our official website will play down his achievements like they did Lee Johnson, with another cog in the machine type article.
Of course the tone of the piece makes it sound like there’s summat in it. I’m hoping there’s nowt to it and Sky are just filling their airtime up. Personally I’d be disgusted in him if he went there whilst I would understand to a degree
Why wouldn't he treble his wages while having an outside shot at promotion to the Prem rather than a good chance of relegation to the Alehouse League?
As I said earlier, things don't move this fast without substance. I can understand motives of Leeds in wanting him, I can understand his motives for wanting to go at this time, and I can understand motives of new owners getting in someone afresh. Doesn't mean I like it, but if this doesn't happen i'd be amazed.
If he left for Leeds, in the position we're in, a week after signing a new deal, on the eve of a game against Wednesday I don't think anyone here would think very highly of him. In fact I reckon we'd be fooking disgusted by him.
