2nd tier has always been our level and we've always been too good for the 3rd tier

 

So we go down and start winning again, which leads to another promotion, then we start losing again and want to get relegated again? Might as well pack up now.

 

Sorry that’s terrible, When we were in League 1 I would’ve swapped places with any struggling Championship club. It’s bad at the moment, but not as bad as being a Leagu1 club. Incidentally there’s no guarantee of success there either.

 

Agree completely. And there are plenty of teams in our league who are failing to compete too despite the favourable resources at their disposal.

Absolutely the biggest load of ******** imaginable we were competing fine until the previous owner decided to allow the total destruction of a winning team oops sorry I forgot we can't criticise the previous regime. We competed then we can again if you want L1 go to watch the Pikeys at DN4.

 

Cheaper grounds, more likely to win games, bigger fish in a smaller pond. The championship, other than the first half of last year and the latter half of 12/13, has been utterly demoralizing nearly every season I've watched us in it since 2006/07. I don't want us to be relegated but I think I'd prefer a good season or two at that level than consistently depressing ones at this level.

 

Can't agree with that. We compete in just about every game we play in. Look at the recent games against Wolves and Fulham, and even today our keeper hardly had anything to do until the last few minutes apart from pick a worldy out of the net.

Yes we can compete, we just can't score. We may already have the players to fix that if they get put in the team. Still time.

 

Remember when we lost 5-1 at Crawley.. that was great wasn't it..

 

I wouldn’t. As bad as we’ve been this last 12 months it beats L1. And let’s not forget how ***** we were for half of the last season there! No guarantees at all

 

I found the Championship before the last relegation soul destroying and the last 12 months have been more of the same. It depends on the ambition of our new owners but if it’s more of the same I’d say L1 is more enjoyable and surely that’s what it’s about.

I'll never forget the first game in Div 1 a few years ago, we lost 1-0 at home to Crawley.
Yeah, bring it on, let's have that again.
But then again I am so depressed at how our existence in the Champ is a struggle from start to finish.

 

The third division is horrendous. I'd rather not be in it.
