He doesn’t get a look in with set pieces - Snodgrass takes all Villa’s dead balls. Just seems like a waste to me. He needs a chance somewhere where his talents are appreciated.
Worst player in the Blunts v Villa match. Didn't do a thing. Subbed. Although he's playing higher up the field for Villa compared to Barnsley. His instructions at Villa seems to be - if the ball comes to you then get rid of it straight away to one of our proper footballers.
Often played in a deeper role too and taken off a lot of occasionally starting on the bench. But maybe he would rather be a small fish in the big pond on the big bucks. Good luck to him bit if they do go up he will have a battle on to keep his place in the side.
I have been on the board around 6 months now and it appears that the relevant topic list goes like this 1. Football 2. Anything else of course the order of the list is flexible
Didn't watch it did they play him further forward. I saw them a few weeks ago and he was sat in front of back 4. Just be moving him about too.
His talents are appreciated. He's a regular starter for a club challenging for automatic promotion, to the richest league in the sport. Didn't watch the match but did home fans boo him just because he played for us? Usually the case when someone linked to a local rival returns with their new club.
So because he's not taking free kicks he should move elsewhere? It just so happens Snodgrass is better than him at set pieces, looks to me like Mallan could be too.
He was like a spare man in midfield really, just floating around receiving the ball and moving it. Pretty uneventful game for him really. Never really looked to take a long shot on, nor play a killer ball. Small fish there. Big fish with us.
