We all know mistakes have been made, it all started in January 2017, selling 3 key players when we’d already made a fortune that season through Mawson & Stones, not signing Morsy, not having a CEO for months etc. There’s no point going over it, we can’t change anything. Whinging about not keeping players 12 months ago doesn’t help us now. Back in pre-season many wrote us off as been the next Rotherham, even the positive ones like myself thought we’d at best only just stay up. What’s changed? Why are so many of you criticising everyone & acting like we’re underachieving? For a club that’s lost 8 of its first 11 within a year & replaced them all with young, novices to the league we’re probably overachieving. I think we’re doing well to be outside the bottom 3. We ought to be cast adrift with that strategy. Instead we’ve got a fighting chance, all we can do is support them. Moncur against Leeds aside I don’t think I’ve seen a single player not try this season, these lads are worth supporting. There’s no Mellis, McCourt, Shea & Frimpong. These lads are fighting for the cause. There’ll be no quick fix, signing players will help but you bring in an experienced championship player & it’s likely he’s barely played all season & needs time to show his best, you sign a league one or two player & he’ll need time to get used to the level, you sign a foreigner & he’ll need time to get used to English football, you sign a premiership kid on loan & he needs time to get used to men’s football. Like I say there’s no quick fix. Get behind them like we did Flitcroft’s team when we battled to stay up, give up blaming & whinging about everything & accept we’ve got one of the weakest teams in the league on one of the smallest budgets who are fighting for survival. We matched a Wolves side & we outplayed a very good, in form Fulham side 11 against 11 & that’s with only 3 first team strikers, 1 fully fit winger, no Joe Williams & our 5th choice centre back starting.
Has anybody thought that with with their French mate Manzala not signing because he saw what was happening at the club,Thiam and Cavare have wrote **** it because they did not.Just my thinking.
Not making excuses for Thiam, but other than yesterday's moment of madness, Cavare has been very good for us IMO. He was even probably one of our best players yesterday, up to his moment of madness. I don't really get why people are suddenly saying he's $hit
What happened a year ago can't be used as an excuse for how poor we are right now. We've had three transfer windows to put things right.
Could the other player have said said something derogatory to him that’s why he turned back. Why has my writing turned funny
agree cavare played well until he wa sent off , and just to make a point didnt think yellow was deserved for first incident
Great post. I agree with 99 percent of it. The 1 percent is Thiam. I don’t think he puts much effort in.
