Also been told the Barnes deal is all but dead.

After Leicesters win today at Peterborough the feeling is that they want to keep him and use him in the FA cup.

I know it was unlikely he would come back, but it's not nice to know another target is now unavailable.

Let's hope for a busy few days. Hecky and the owners really need to freshen things up. The whole fan base, media, players and staff just seem so flat it's unreal. I haven't felt like this since the days of Brek Shea and Steven Dawson.

Interestingly too they played him behind their striker rather than on wing.

I'm actually not flat, I think we made the form team in the division look ordinary for the first 45 minutes. The game was lost in a stupid 20 second spell just before half time. After that, it was inevitable.

I think most of us think the same. I saw enough to think we can turn the corner. We have injuries and suspensions coming out of our ears at the moment so we look a bit bare, but once thats out of the way then I think we can get enough points to stay up. I did think though that we should have pushed on, rather than a wasted year. Thats the disappointment for me.

I still think we are in a battle though, I've just read the previous paragraph and it reads like we'll stay up easily, I don't think that for a second, but 3 points lead is still big. Radio sheffield kept on saying about all the teams have a game in hand and we were perilous. Lets be right, teams at the bottom very rarely win, thats why they are in the bottom 3… its because they are ****. We are near the bottom because we are nearly as **** as them.

They could very easily go out next round and he’ll play 1 game for the rest of the season? Maybe a couple at the end of the season when they aren’t playing for anything maybe?

He would be better coming here and getting much more actual game time. I think it would suit both parties and is a no brainier for me but what do I know haha

We do need a busy few days though. Whether that will happen is another question.

I agree, it seems bizzare doesn't it? I reckon Leicester have looked at the teams left in the FA cup and seem that there is still plenty of league sides that he would get a run out against.

It's just a shame, isn't it? He needs to be playing regularly because he's one hell of a talent. He just needs games and hes not going to get many this year with Leicester.

Lets not waste our time anymore on this player eh (and Ive got nothing against Barnes), Im just annoyed that they/Leicester have gone against the season long loan agreement and they still have no interest in playing him in their Premship matches.
Lets look elsewhere, but Id also like to question whether we will end up with either Williams or Gardner long term beyond this season. Id say theres little or no chance so here we are still looking and we still have no clue as to what our best squad and formation is.

    He wasn't that good anyway.

Again, its just my opinion. Young lad, we did ok out of him, he scored a few goals and assists early on, but as it wore on, he became more and more ineffective. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Ryan Kent will be a better player, long term than Barnes. Both will be good, but no doubt in my mind whos' the most talented.

It is very bizarre! There’s no doubt in my mind that he will make a premier regular in a few years but you’re right, he needs to be playing in as many competitive games as he can for his development. I really hope we see him back here.
