The attempted signing of Manzala is an indication of our future ambition. It's not our fault that at the eleventh hour he's decided not to join us. To my mind, that gives another player an opportunity at a Club that will hopefully survive in the Championship this season and recruit the necessary quality to compete at the right end of the division next season.
I would say more disaster than embarrassing. Will be Hecky's best achievement yet, if he keeps us up with the current squad. I'd say we needed another 4 players minimum, before the window shuts.
Or be patient and sign the players we actually need as opposed to 4 panic loan signings which I think is the point Orsenkaht was making.
I think what could be more embarrassing is sending our players out on loan early in the window. It appears we have put the cart before the horse. Why when we do our dealing with others it has to be late in the window but when others deal with us they can make it happen early?.
The problem is we haven’t done the proper work which is before the window opens in order to get deals done early. It’s something we are used to that needs to change, we are being left behind again and the probable result will be relegation.
It would be embarrassing if I showed my bare backside on the town hall steps. So I won't do it. Get a grip.
It would be a public order offence. Do you think we need to strengthen if we are going to have a good chance of staying up?
I think we've a good chance of staying up anyway with the squad we've got. The evidence for that is our current league position and the crapness of the teams below and around us. But yes, I think we need a couple more players and I think we'll get them. The vast majority of window signings go through in the last couple of days. I don't like the system and I don't like the childish rumour mongering on here and on other platforms, but I suppose I have to put up with it until next Thursday.
As things stand we’ve done enough to stay up - if the league finished today. My concern is that once we slip into it, which we are likely to on Saturday our lack of goals and wins will keep us there till May
I agree it's a concern. However, I believe we've got more chance of staying up than going down, and we will probably add 2 or 3 more players before next Thursday.
If you've heard Hecky then he as said, we will only get loans as a make weight.. if we fail/unable to get the perminents we want.. After yesterday seems more likely
Not me, the club. Big furore on sky sports when these billionaires/ millionaires took over at the club, seemingly still tranna shop at Aldi this window, probably gunna get relegated as a result of not speculating to accumulate this month. I'd say mr lee/Conway and co will end up with the proverbial egg on their faces for not trying to ensure championship survival by paying out the going rate for what is required at this level, if only on loans. Praying I'm proved wrong but time is running out.
