Jacob Mellis, Dan Crowley, George Moncur, Dale Jennings, Anderson Da Silva, Ivan Toney, Devante Cole, Campbell-Ryce, Danny Rose, Reuben Noble-Lazurus, Ike Ugbo, Josh Kay, Stefan Payne, Micheal Mifsud, Paddy McCourt, James Bree, Michael Smith, Hugo Colace. Any more?
Ivan Toney, Devante Cole, Campbell-Ryce, Danny Rose, Ike Ugbo, Josh Kay, Stefan Payne, George Moncur and Michael Smith shouldn’t be on a wasted talents list. As for James Bree, he’s 20 years old. Far from wasted yet. They’re all having decent careers at the level you’d expect them to be at.
13 of then have had good football league careers 4 are young kids starting llbto develop Only 1 has probably wasted his talent. Very strange.
Paddy McCourt biggest waste, we should be talking about one of the most talented and best players to wear a red shirt.
You cant put players on the list who have not finish their career... Its only when they've hung up their boot when any judgement can be made. Fortunes can change overnight, good or bad.
Only Dale Jennings on that list for me has wasted his talent & why would you include Josh Kay who is still learning his trade
Toney & Cole could be in the prem or at least championship if it weren't for bad attitudes. JCR could have been a top championship winger for years if he bothered to run in training. Danny Rose, Stefan Payne & Josh Kay could have been very good for us given the chance. Ike Ugbo was released into mens football too early. Micheal Smith scored 25 goals in League 1 the season before we signed him. Moncur has an immense talent in his locker as proved by the backend of last season but his desire lets him down
I was just thinking about him. Brilliant on loan, completely mediocre once he signed permanently. Difficult to believe it was even the same player. More than ten years ago, but Chris Lumsdon also ranks pretty high up in the wasted ability stakes.
Stefan Payne definitely doesn't seem to be wasting his talent. Whether Barnsley FC wasted him is another matter.
Ugbo is a kid. His career has barely started. He was a bit **** at Barnsley but to put him on a list of wasted talents is a bit bizarre in my opinion.
Honestly you don’t half say some odd things on here. Ivan Toney is 21 and already has a good amount of experience under his belt. He’s steady away in League One at the minute and certainly not wasted. Devante Cole is 22 and has played well over 100 football league games at a good level. JCR had a career many can only dream about. 522 games of professional football and at 34 still getting starts in the football league. You don’t achieve that from not running. “Ike Ugbo released into men’s football too early” what does that even mean? How has that wasted his talent? He’s 19 and getting a crack with MK Dons now. Danny Rose and Stefan Payne both forging very good careers for themselves. You talk about League One and Two as if it’s scraping the barrel! Danny Rose made a massive decision to leave and the club allowed him the chance. He’s starting to make a name for himself down there now. As for Payne you go tell the lad he’s wasting his telling. He’s battled back from dropping to what is for many the point of no return. A solid part of Shrewsbury’s promotion campaign. The Josh Kay wasted talent is again laughable. Michael Smith is still playing in League One?? He got 15 league goals and 3 in the cup the season before we signed him.
Brilliant on loan but garbage when he signed ....knew his cousin at college in Liverpool and told her to pass that on
Only a dee dar would run off at the mouth like you do to try and get a reaction. So obviously a WUM. Oh, and a tw*t. Sorry, forgot about that.
I think you're a very clever piece of wind-up software that badly needs an update. A real person would never have written such gunk.
That player immediately springs to mind. When he first got in the 1st team at about 16 years old - I thought he was the best young player I'd seen since David Hirst. Then he was out injured - and didn't make it from then on. Real wasted talent. Also Rose from that era - I thought would go on to bigger things - but didn't. It maybe because the manager at that time was putting even more fires out than what Hecky is doing right now - so circumstances were against young players of that time developing as they should have. A real pity for those lads.
