    It's impossible to give an opinion on Gauthier's performance because we don't know what remit he has been under and we don't really know how he performed at Lens. As I said above, the final decisions have been Cryne's - good and bad. I know people can't accept that Cryne has made mistakes but he most certainly has.

    Patrick Cryne made some terrible mistakes - however, IMO this was because he was fighting on an uneven playing field.
    He just didn't have the money to compete.
    And again IMO - if Patrick was a billionaire - then he would have got us into the Premeirship

    Doubt it. France is a big place, theres a single market, professional football club CEOs are relatively rare compared to people doing other roles. This is the 21st century.

    Patrick Cryne made mistakes. A fair few until he finally seemed to get the hang of things and set up the system that lee Johnson began to work under.
    He admitted to those mistakes and questioned his own fitness for the job of owning the club.
    I'm not, and never have been in his thrall. He has no power over me. I'm able to see the good things and the bad.

    As I remember, most on here felt more or less the same as you. However, they didn't feel the need to post a variation on the same theme five times a day, and probably got bored with people who did.

    Genuinely, I'm not sure I am. I think most people could see a lack of direction or purpose after Richie's promotion. The culmination was a team full of Kennedys, Wisemans and Mellis's.
    Cryne recognised that and, within the limits of his finances, addressed it.

    Absolute nail on the head.. If like most you appreciate all he did for the club, but accepting (as he openly is) that not everything he did was right, you’re somehow “in his thrall”. You need to deride him every day to prove you aren’t hoodwinked by the clever fox... seemingly.
