This is the truth of the matter: Huddersfield could well stay up for a few seasons. The key though is not their attendances, (about what we could get with the same ground capacity), but keeping their manager & best players. Lose those & they are fecked. Similar to us, funnily enough. In Hecky I trust.
They could of course just as well replace them with players who will themselves soon become 'best players'. How long did it take hourihanne to become a 'best player'? Not long They could of course simply buy more 'good' tried and tested pros because they can afford to do this now, and further afford Unlike us they are now in a position to be able to buy good new players if their'best ones' are sold. In fact they are in a great position. Loads of income earned from transfers plus all the premier lolly. The fact is is that one cannot predict the future.
That argument only goes so far. If Barnsley, small paying championship club bid for a player, with a track record of improving players & generating sell on, we may get one price. In Premier League Bournemouth come knocking, then the agent whacks the price up. That's supply & demand.
Huddersfield are in the same position now as pretty much 15 or 16 other premier clubs. Any one of these could end up relegated, be it this season or in 10 years time.
