Judging by the Aston Villa and Leeds games, I wouldn't have us on live either! I'd usually moan about big club bias then agree it's down to likely viewing figures.... but this time I don't care really!
I would be delighted if we never appear on sky again , they always seem to put us on for a home fixture which causes inconvenience for our fans & usually results in a poor performance
I'm getting fed up of setting sky to record games to watch back later, then coming home and deleting the bugger straight away
Wow I thought it was a long time ago but didn't realise it was so long. We only get the home games against villa and Leeds so they get as many viewers as possible.
We were covered at Fleetwood in the JPT & again in the play off semi , plus both Wembley appearances , I cant recall being on last season & so far this season no away games plus before the promotion season we were in division one & did not get covered , so its at least five seasons since we were covered away in a league match if not five years
I think your right I don't like us been on sky at home but wouldn't mind a few away games a season on.
Ipswich away was the last time in the championship back in 2013, finished 1-1 O Brien with the equaliser.
There will be a high proportion of games broadcast that will be the away games of the best supported clubs. Villa, Leeds, wolves, probably Sunderland if they pick up. Best viewing figures.
Not just me that feels like this then. Whenever they announce some I'm always hoping we aren't on. Bad enough all the stupid early kick offs for the local games.
I'm glad, I won't have to sit on my own in an empty pub watching an awful game like I did for the Dirty Leeds game.....
My mate is blind and relies on the match commentary at home games. It's not perfect, and sometimes doesn't work or misses the start of games, but you can guarantee that when Sky come to Oakwell it NEVER works. I don't know what sky do to the system at Oakwell, maybe they just take over and unplug everything that's not theirs, but it's a right pain in the arse for him and I have to try and do a commentary of sorts, but I'm no John Motson and get some weird looks
